Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the filling by mixing marinara sauce, cooked sausage, sautéed vegetables, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a large bowl.
Grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet with olive oil to prevent sticking.
Pour the filling into the skillet, spreading it evenly to cover the bottom.
Top the filling with 3 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan for extra flavor.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to a circle slightly larger than the skillet.
Drape the dough over the skillet, tucking the edges down the sides to seal the filling inside.
Cut small slits in the dough to allow steam to escape during baking.
Brush the dough with a beaten egg for a shiny, golden crust.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and puffed.
Cool for 5–10 minutes before serving to let the filling set slightly.
