French Toast Casserole

French toast casserole is a warm, custardy dish made with thick bread cubes soaked in a cinnamon-spiced egg mixture and baked to golden perfection. Topped with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and a drizzle of maple syrup, it’s a comforting breakfast that’s easy to make ahead for holiday mornings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf of French bread cut into cubes
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar and syrup for serving

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 9x13 baking dish. Place bread cubes evenly in the dish.
  • In a bowl, mix eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the mixture over the bread, pressing gently to soak.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight, or bake immediately at 350°F (175°C) for 30–40 minutes until golden.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve with syrup.
