- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg yolk
- 3/4 cup pecans chopped
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar for the filling
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream butter and sugars together until smooth. Add the egg yolk and vanilla.
Mix in the flour and salt. Form dough into small balls and press down to create a small indent in the center of each.
Mix the chopped pecans, corn syrup, and sugar to create the filling. Spoon a little into the center of each cookie.
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
