Molten Lava Cake

Indulge in the rich, gooey center of a molten lava cake. These individual chocolate cakes with a flowing chocolate center are a decadent and impressive end to a romantic meal.
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate chopped
- 5 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins and place them on a baking sheet.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter with chocolate, stirring occasionally until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until thick. Stir in melted chocolate and then flour and salt.
Divide batter among ramekins. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until sides are firm but centers are soft.
Let stand 1 minute before serving.
