Honey and butter create a simple glaze for tender carrots, balancing sweetness with a touch of seasoning. This dish is quick to make and adds color to your Thanksgiving spread.
- 1 lb. of carrots peeled and sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Boil the carrots in a pot of salted water for 5-7 minutes, or until just tender.
Drain the carrots and set aside.
In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the honey, salt, and pepper, stirring until the mixture is smooth.
Add the carrots back to the pot and toss until coated.
Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the glaze to stick to the carrots.
