Easy Thanksgiving Stuffing Recipe

A simple stuffing recipe with bread cubes, herbs, and butter, baked until golden and flavorful. This side dish is a Thanksgiving classic that pairs well with turkey.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf of day-old bread cubed
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage or thyme

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until slightly dry.
  • In a large pan, sauté the onion and celery in melted butter over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes, sautéed onion and celery, and dried sage.
  • Pour in the broth gradually, stirring until the bread is moist but not soggy.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the top is golden and crispy.
